Abstract

We introduce an acousto-optic finite-difference frequency-domain algorithm for firstprinciple simulations of acousto-optic devices. This algorithm overcomes large time-scale differences between optical and acoustic waves, and it rigorously captures photon-phonon interactions in integrated photonic systems.
