Abstract

A new technique for cancelling all Kerr-nonlinearities in long fiber spools is presented. The technique is based on a compact and efficient LiNbO3 phase conjugator combined with Raman amplification. The effectiveness of this technique is validated by cancelling FWM, XPM, and SPM, at 10, 40, and 100 Gb/s using long fiber spans.
