Abstract
It is significant to understand the physical and chemical mechanisms for the many desirable properties of macromolecular materials. When trying to determine some of the basic principles underlying these properties, the problem of having enormous number of different macromolecules exist. These will cause a number of technical and conceptual problems, but computer simulations, often combined with experiments lead to significant progress in understanding the physics of macromolecules.
