Abstract

Direct synthesis of polymer brushes from gold and glass substrates using organometallic catalysts can prepare a broad range of materials that may not be obtainable by other methods. Particle substrates provide a cheap and convenient means to characterize these polymerizations using standard methods. Polymerizations from these surfaces may test theories of brush morphology and dynamics.
