Femtosecond pulse delivery through single-mode optical fiber with adaptive pulse shaping

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The femtosecond pulse delivery was analyzed through single mode optical fiber with adaptive pulse shaping. The pulse resulting from the unshaped pulse propagation was distorted and temporally broadened to τ=352 femtoseconds. An adaptive feedback loop that applies a phase-only modulation on the pulse to be launched in the fiber was applied. The results demonstrated the feasibility of fiber delivery of ultrashort pulses defeating the nonlinear propagation effects.
