Abstract

The results from three-dimensional molecular dynamic (MD) simulations of binary LJ glasses are presented in order to provide a better understanding of the stress-strain behavior of these glasses. The correspondence between the deformations and the stress-strain behavior are characterized. It is observed that a void begins to form at the peak in the stress/strain curve.
