Abstract
Fracture toughness data for copper deposits 76 multiplied by 152 multiplied by 5. 1 mm thick 3 multiplied by 6 multiplied by 0. 2 in. ), electroformed in three different solutions, viz, sulfate, sulfate-high acid, and pyrophosphate, and a nickel deposit of the same dimensions, electroformed in nickel sulfamate solution were obtained by M. I. Baskes method, which involves obtaining a self-consistent set of stresses, strains, and displacements in the plastic zone next to a crack tip. The plane strain fracture toughness is calculated from the stress distribution. The results are tabulated together with tensile test data and moduli of elasticity.
