Measurement of optical forces within a high-Q microcavity-waveguide system

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Optical forces arising from the intense stored field within a high-Q microdisk cavity are measured through the displacement of a moveable, micron-scale fiber taper input waveguide. Tunable waveguide-cavity coupling is demonstrated at sub-mW input powers. ©2007 Optical Society of America.
