Abstract

Direct observations of the decomposition of double and other multiple ribbons in f.c.c. materials are discussed. It is shown that these provide direct evidence for the two different mechanisms proposed for the formation of the double ribbons. The observations of the other multiple ribbons are the first of their kind reported for f.c.c. materials. Copyright © 1980 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
