Abstract

We present simulations of two-dimensional IR Photon Echo spectra for the unfolding process of a helical β-peptide following a temperature jump. A detailed microscopic model of the vibrational Hamiltonian is developed that includes disorder effects and allows to perform realistic simulations of a large number of two- and three-dimensional IR experiments. This should allow the development of new pulse sequences for studying fast protein dynamics.
