Abstract

We have studied the picosecond-dynamics of optically pumped hexagonal LuMnO 3 using ultrafast x-ray diffraction. Experimental data are compared with a simulation based on dynamical diffraction theory modified to account for the hexagonal structure of LuMnO 3.
