Optomechanics of strongly-coupled stacked monolithic microdisks

Abstract

We demonstrate a pair of strongly-coupled, stacked monolithic silicon nitride microdisk resonators coupled to a tapered optical fiber. High-frequency optomechanical interactions between the two microdisks are induced by both optical force and photothermal effects. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
