Abstract

Amidate-supported two- and three-coordinate NiIcomplexes were synthesized by reduction of the corresponding NiIIprecursors. A dramatic change in binding mode is observed upon reduction from NiIIto NiI. The NiIderivatives include an unprecedented NiIbis(C−H) agostic complex and a two-coordinate NiIcomplex.
