Abstract

A simple model has been proposed to describe the phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties of f.c.c. and b.c.c. iron-base alloys. The model parameters have been determined by a least squares fit to experimental binary phase diagrams and thermodynamic data. The model shows agreement with all input data and has been used to predict multiphase equilibria and To and Ms temperatures for a few iron-base alloys.
