Abstract

A high efficiency polarization insensitive wavelength converter based on periodically-poled LiNbO3 waveguides was developed. The resultant converter has an external efficiency of -10 dB and negligible polarization dependence when the residual PDL is compensated by proper choice of the pump polarization.
