Abstract

A method for synthesizing optimal phase masks to generate complex waveforms was proposed. The pulse spectrum measured was Fourier transformed followed by iterations to obtain the desired phase mask. Cross-correlations of pulse sequences generated by the algorithm were presented. The method used the Gerberg-Saxton algorithm that utilized the input pulse spectrum and temporal intensity target for the synthesis.
