Abstract
The application of scanning near-field microscopy techniques for THz imaging was demonstrated. A spatial resolution of 150 nm was achieved, which corresponded to about λ/1000. The spatial resolution was achieved by the dipole moment that was induced by the THz radiation in the tip and in the underneath region below the sample surface. These submicron resolutions could be applied for THz imaging of the interior of biologic cells.
