Abstract

Studies of the spectral and spatial properties of propagation of intense(1016 JW/cm2) subpicosecond 248 nm radiation in hydrogen plasmas for electron densities in the 1018-1019 cm-3 range are reported. The influence of the ponderomotive potential on the character of the propagation is considered. © 1988 SPIE.
