Abstract

We report on a new microphotonic technique for high-sensitivity, uncooled, thermal imaging. The technique, based on the massive thermo-optic effect in thermally isolated microresonators offers potential for significantly higher sensitivity than bolometric techniques. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
