Abstract
The threshold characteristics of composite resonator vertical cavity lasers (CRVCL) were studied. The device was fabricated by using a double mesa structure to allow independent current injection into either cavity. The results showed that threshold characteristics of a dual CRVCL were consistent with current mediated quantum well absorption.
