Abstract

We demonstrate a THz-metamaterial that exhibits a frequency selective resonant response based on the polarization of the incident field. The metamaterial is based on a asymmetric split-ring resonator structure. A polarization-insensitive design is also presented. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
