Tunable optical gain and amplified spontaneous emission using type I and type II nanocrystal heterostructures

Research output: Contribution to journalConference article

Abstract

We study the effect of type I vs. type II carrier localization on optical gain properties of multishell nanocrystal heterostructures. Our results indicate that type-II structures provide improved gain performance in the green-blue spectral range.
