Abstract
Ultrafast conductivity dynamics of novel electronic materials was studied. This technique was used to study high-Tc superconductors and colossal magnetoresistance manganites. It is expected that this technique will find application in the study of other technologically relevant correlated electron materials. The results demonstrate that at low temperature the conductivity is mainly determined by phonons while closer to Tcm spin-disorder dominates.
