Abstract
Time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy (TRTS) has been used to directly probe the interplay between the electronic, lattice and spin degrees of freedom in La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (LCMO) thin films. The results showed a decrease in the ultrafast conductivity which is due to electron-phonon and electron-spin scattering. A slower component whose lifetime increases with increasing temperature was also evident.
