    Dr. Brett Blackwell has over 10 years of experience in mass spectrometry methods development applied to contaminant detection and biomarkers of effect. Brett received his PhD in environmental toxicology from Texas Tech University and worked as a researcher with the Environmental Protection Agency focused on the effects and environmental fate of contaminants in ecological systems. At LANL, Brett is expanding quantitative mass spectrometry methods and working to improve untargeted small molecule workflows to improve biomarker detection in biological systems.
